KIOV on the move

Don Day | August 30, 2004

KTIK may be getting some competition.

KIOV is currently licensed in Payette — but is moving to Notus.

KIOV says it lost it’s transmitter site in Payette, and could not find adequate ground to build a new one.

The station will stay on 1450 and will operate with 1kw of power. The new location gives KIOV a shot at the Valley.

KIOV.com is getting a makeover.

KIOV-AM is owned by Media Enterprises — with managing partner Milton Erhart. If that name rings a bell, it should — he ran against Dirk Kempthorne in 2002 in the Republican primary.

So what’s happened with KIOV-AM? Their page is really blazé again… do they cover sports? It seems like they were trying to be a good station for a while there.
