I have a theory on why the switch was made. I might be off track here. But If you drive from Salt Lake, to you hit about Berly Idaho, and you are listining to 570 KNRS, you will soon get intermod from 580 AM. A counrty station. If you hit up buton once you will get 590 out of Idaho Falls. This way if you hit the down butten you will hit 570 and get the program you were hearing on 570 depending on what time you are in the Berly aarea. I might be wrong. But that seems to me like part of the reasonh this was done back in 2002.

Now that Daeb Courson is gone........ KBOI is an empthy shell. A Burned out play by play guy, a frustrated trivia Jock and a news department that thinks the town South of Boise is Coona. Give me a break! The best thing on News Talk now is Glenn Beck in the afternoon!

As a salesperson I ask people frequently which radio station they listen to. News talk fans often reply that they switch back and forth between 670 and 630. Nobody remembers because you don't have to dial the stations in anymore. Every station is just a button.
