Hmm...actually, I think this is rather satrically brilliant. The reader gets the mental image of this rather time warped woman of limited capacity who is insecure about her sexuality.

He pulls it off very well.

But something like this is not for publication in a mainstream periodical.

A guy like this would fit in perfectly over at the Portland Mercury or even Willamette Week. We here in Blue Nation like our satirists lean, mean and ruthless.

If Mr. Kouba is shopping his resume', send him my way. I'll hook him up over in The City That Works.

Well, I really do think that Kouba's comments were outrageously sexist and he should have been terminated, and/or The Statesman should have pulled the article with a contrite public apology. I am a red-blooded straight guy who finds virgin proselytizers like Brandi disgusting, both intellectually and sexually.
I voted against Brandi and I hope that the child has enough sense to shut her mouth before she does grievous damage to the already imperiled civil liberties of our State and Country. Stamp out moral fascists in government. I noticed MANY more"BRANDI" ads on the streets than ads for Maryanne Jordan, and that is because her ad budget was much larger due to out-of-state special interest funding from groups such as Generation Life, or whatever they're called. At the same time she is giving lip-service to a "local" platform, her funding is from out-of-state special interests who would have weilded her like a marionette with a figurative political bullhorn. Discussions about civil engineering projects would have degenerated into Evolution-bashing quasi theological pontification, had the foul harpy Brandi Swindell been elected. Pat your selves on the back Boise, you voted right.

And, Kouba, you just destroyed your career, jackass.
