I’m a spud, you’re a spud…

Don Day | March 10, 2005

Just found this little nugget from comedian Bob Zany’s online guest book. The note was posted in May, while the Spud Brothers were between gigs — and gives some insight in to recent events:

I just wanted to drop you a line and say It was fun doing a weekly segment with you. You always gave me more attention then Chris wanted me to get, as usual.

So who will KTIK “dig up” to be the latest in a long line of spuds?

Update: See comments below for a note from Eddie.

KKGL: A little less Rich

Don Day | March 10, 2005

Rich Bryan is out at 96.9 The Eagle. The PD/afternoon slammer was let go Monday according to several insiders.

His name is no longer on KKGL.com.

Now both Boise rock stations are without program directors….

We’ll know more in 6 months

Don Day | March 8, 2005

I heard KCIX’s “In six months, you’ll be hearing this song on stations all over town” bumper when I was in town last week. It’s ususally tied to a song that has already peeked in the CHR world and is just starting to cross-over.

So it’s more like “this is a song you’ve been hearing on stations all over town for six months.”

X94 goes fishin’

Don Day | March 3, 2005

KADQ-FM/Rexburg is looking for a mid-day talent… sorta.

This was posted at the idahoradionews.us board:

Alright, here’s the deal…there is a potential on-air opening comin’ up on Idaho’s Local, Independent, and Alternative X94…If you know the music, have at least a little experience, can take direction, and do not think you know it all when it comes to radio then email an aircheck to Nic@X943.com…make sure it is no longer than :60 seconds and if you do not have an aircheck do not bother! The job doesn’t pay much but it’s a cool @%#$&!# job! Good luck…

Sounds ex-cit-ing

Dancing her way to Boise..

Don Day | March 2, 2005

Tara
It appears Tara Kelly will join Shamus at KZMG.

Kelly currently shares morning duties at KFTZ in Poky/IF.

This would be a reunion of sorts — Tara & Shmus worked together at KFTZ before he left for Salt Lake City.

So there you have it… The Magic Morning Show with Shamus & Tara.

(Thanks Ben!)
