Don Day | May 31, 2005So I did a little digging on KIZN’s Flash applet that displays current song information.
It’s not just a KIZN thing — or Citadel for that matter.
Punch up http://206.165.114.205/ and type in a stations calls. Up pops the current song. I tried several different stations — KIZN, KRVB, KJOT, KCIX — even KTPZ — and they all work.
I can’t verify if the data is actually correct – though it’s sourced to something called MediaGuide.
I played with this a bit, the Citadel stations definitley work and the songs are atually on. J 105 was correct too. The River was off a couple of times that I checked, but I tried again in a couple of songs and it was accurate too. Laptop + radio + boredom = a pretty cool tool you’ve found here Don.

Weird, it’s the YES bar… it’s monitoring stations in SLC too. For a while KXRK and KJQN/KNJQ had it on their sites, but now they’re back to this crappy “Last 5″ applet that doesn’t seem to work too well…
Citadel’s KENZ here uses it too.

thats pretty sweet… and it is fairly accurate…
