And Sometimes, I Be Speaking Ebonics...See...

Cause...I'm Igi-na-int! FOO!

Seriously...an Arbitron phone survey would be more accurate than anything and more representive of an audience...

Molding certian numbers is what salespeople do...It doesn't matter what the number says, it only matters what the salesguys says it is...

That's the game...

Now can we go back to singing something cause that would be one hell of a trio...

Hey, french toast, you semi-read my mind. I had to decide between "We Are The World" and Kumbyah, or however you spell that. I went with the easier one.

Nah, I didn't "get away" with it. It now says "bulls—."

By the way, isn't it amazing that we all seem to be on the same side of this issue? Who would ever have thought that such disparate elements could be brought together by ARBITRON? Should we all sing "We Are The World" now?

"Number one hit music" channel/station. Get it? It's not saying they're #1, it's saying that the music they play is #1. Or something.

But once again, it's all a trick, because it makes it legal but how many people know they're saying that and not that the station is #1?

We all complain when we get a kick, and rejoice when we get a kiss. When numbers are down, tt's a lousy method, when we're back up, it's the best thing since sliced bread. No matter who runs the service, the numbers will always be putty in the hands of a talented salesperson. I remember one AE at another station telling me we were number one with people who listen at work...but don't work. We're Number One! We're Number One!

The return rate is around 20% on diarys. The sad part is, who the hell is the 20% that needs the $14 for the two weeks work?! These are the people that essentially decide formats?! People that need $14, control millions in advertising.

Im sorry, but if it was my investment id kick Arbitron with their 20% return rate and 96% inaccuracy to the curb too. Outdated methods, no returns and almost totally inaccurate.

The worst part of it all is they have no competition, and have failed to advance their ratings technology over the past 20 years.

As a company with a product, Arbitron is terrible, possibly the worst out there.

Could you imagine a car company standing behind a product the way Arbitron does? "It gets no gas mileage, breaks down 96% of the time and is owned by people who need $14 dollars." Yugo?
