Jac, if you think that’s strange, in SLC not only is “My” ID’ing songs, so is “Pop FM” which also likes to sell 7-in-a-row, 7 every time… which, apparently, most stations have.

You guys, please! You’re just thinking inside the non-CC box.

Please please please, is it so much to think outside the box? You need to break away all the barriers you’re used to & put yourself inside the minds of the typical listeners. Do they prefer more music or a blabbering DJ?

A station similar to this went on the air in Seattle about 4 years ago called “The Funky Munky” with the same concept except top 40 music. It BOMBED after about 6 months and they went back to live jocks. Now, the station is #6 in the market, The #2 Top 40/Urban station next to KUBE…

The point is, it came on the air, it was cool for a couple of months and then no one cared…

No Jocks, No Personality…
