First………The Spud Brothers was an un-listenable nightmare with old bits, or bits stolen from the Don and Mike show. Censored on uncensored, the show was simply not funny, and Chris wouldn’t be able to make it so, even if he could say the f word 500 times an hour.

Satellite radio, a fad? XM now has over 5 million subscribers. To the bozo mentioning the FCC, um, huh? Satellite radio can play anything it wants, including the Playboy channel, and hardcore rap with a whole bunch of f bombs and the like.

XM and Sirius have said that they will not run commercials on MUSIC channels. They both have always run commercials on non-music channels. Where’s the problem?

Sirius says that they expect Howard to add at least a million listeners because of him. They also say that they can make more than enough from the subscription fees and ads for his show to pay his exorbitant salary. If true, there seems to be no particular down side to them hiring him.

By the way, yes, I too believe that an uncensored Spud show would be entertaining. The problem is Brewer’s multiple insecurities which make him alienate on-air partners.

..or how about the huge problem you could cause locally by being dumped for dropping “questionable” content on the air?…Not to mention, get the FCC on your butt to have them kindly interpret what “questionable content” is on the air?…

In my little world, a listener, angry or otherwise, is a listener…

Why are Idaho’s media companies all too busy figuring out how to be like each other when just doing what you know will work just fine?…

Oh wait, maybe I shouldn’t ask a question like that because it’s not politically, morally or religiously correct in this part of the United States??…

Either way, anywhere where Chris gets a check for opening his mouth is a good place to be, XM or not…I’m sure he doesn’t care as long as the check clears…

Opie and Antony on XM are giving out “golden tickets” to shows to fill out the “high voltage” channel on 202. They have already brought in the very funny Ron and Fez…I for one would love to hear an uncensored Spud Brothers show.
