It’s true that not all Journal stations run traffic, however, 4 stations of Journal do, which is the majority.

All CC stations do run traffic.

So is it a money thing or a “we think we can do it better thing?”

Personally, I think that people respond to Boise Traffic..it is a local business and why would citadel support taking money away from local business?

And yes, I think that not all companies who use Boise Traffic use it for all their stations because their listeners might not care. And maybe their listeners do care, but it doesn’t fit with the sound of the station. But that’s just opinion, all I know is that from where I have worked it’s not because it’s voicetracked. If it fit then they would make it work (although the places I’m talking about are all live.

Cale- It was just a funny thing… Many times I have watched the news and had the thought… so how does this help me as a driver, when I am at home…. But I liked your analogy… Maybe some of the the local newscasts could finally increase their ratings by using the Playboy thing…. Thanks and take care….

Missing the point there former q-staffer…great…you share the report if there is something “big”. That does not put any $$ in the pocket of Bill and his company.

Heck…Capt’n Buzz was a BIG part of the am show for along time…must have been for not…

Sure, we all know that it gets busy on W I-84 after 4pm…same for I-90 and I-5 in Seattle….but they still run the traffic.

Some days though…it is NOT busy on I-84…other days it is Chinden that has the accident…I have a couple of ways making it back to my humble abode…I want to know which way is the way to go…but I guess you guys have figured out that those who like Pearl Jam and Seether don’t care about being stuck in the mess…

In our case,in the afternoons, K-HITS is live and we do run traffic reports, and for the other stations, The X is live and if there is a major traffic problem we share the info with them as we do with J and the River. And even tho they are voice tracked, (are they really? I mean I am here in the building and I know for sure) the information is put on the air. As you know, Busted, most of the reports are the same thing, there is going to be problems West bound on I-84 and lots of stop and go off the Eagle interchange. I think most drivers have pretty much figured this out.
