I did nto say I could get a 2 share in Kalifornia…and YES they are infiltrating…oops…you must be one of them.

It is not an issue that it’s the only CR in L.A. L.A. also has only 1 CHR/Pop, 1 Country, 1 AC, just 2 Hot AC’s, etc., etc.

I’ll bet they all promote themselves as being at the top in their format. And they should. That’s smart business. Until another station can take them on and win, they are number 1.

“whoop dee do”?

A 2.0 share in Los Angeles is not “whoop de do”. No station in LA has more than a 4.8.

Summarily saying that a 2.O share is “whoop de do” seems to be based on an inappropriate frame of reference. Shares in Idaho cannot be equated with shares in L.A.

Despite the bravado which is so prevalent on this site, I doubt that anyone working in radio in Idaho could achive a 2.O share in L.A. If they could, I’m sure they’d be working in market #2 rather than market #108.

“Infiltrating”? Are Californians perpetrating some planned invasion of Idaho? I believe “moving into” is a the correct term.

This is the point. It’s a successful show. It has been for a long time. It continues to be in many markets. Love them or hate them, it doesn’t matter. Mike hates them; good for him.
But “horrible broadcasters” is not accurate.

the ONLY CR station and whoop dee doo. 2 share. Not the same show or station that it was in it’s hay-day. The show is tired…theose two are/were at each others throats…NOT the same show 10 years ago.

Syndicated…yes they are…better than most ya-whoos…yes they are…would I run them again in a small market instead of some cheezy puking guy…yes I would do it again. I would be careful though…still a bunch of cali refrences…that does not fly too well in some markets…but again…those from cali are now infiltrating those same markets…

Mark & Brian are the morning team from KLOS in Los Angeles, the #1 Classic Rock station in the #2 market in the country. They’re syndicated on numerous stations in 8 western states. That isn’t the resume of “horrible” broadcasters.

If you don’t like them, fine. You’re entitled to your opinion. But “horrible broadcasting”? There is ample evidence to conclude that you are just plain wrong.

KIKX figure out the mornings and play some music. I don’t need to hear about a dog guy. This isn’t even funny. What horrible broadcasting. You’re close to loosing a lot of customers. We wnat music not talk radio!

After yesterdays completely BORING Mark and Brian Show, the only redeming qualities of KIKX is Tom Nelson (who sounded as depressed as I felt yesterday) and Nights with ALICE. Is this the swan song for KIKX? I know as a business who advertised on KIKX I am certainly not wasting my money in the mornings!!!
