Maybe Larry the CEO from Albertsons should get into broadcasting... He could merge Wal-Mart and Cheap Channel, screw both the share holders, the employees and the customers and make a bundle....

Dear joncoxossmith, I can see that your math is as bad as your spelling. I too worked for CC. The simple fact is, they don't pay people what they're worth. They could pay much better and they could offer better local service to their listeners!

I've worked for all three of the big three companies, and a couple of other independents before they were part of a group. I can tell you from experience, that as much as some of you like to bash CC for everything from voice tracking, the size of their company etc., and deservedly so in some cases, their pay is not one you should be bashing. They are the highest paying company in Boise. I've been a part of the budgeting process in a few cases, and thier full time jocks are paid VERY well coparatively, thier remote engineers get paid well, and yes even their voice trackers and part timers make more money than the other stations pay in town. This is a good thing, the more they pay for everything from pt to production and remote engineers, the more other companies must pay to compete

Thanks for the correction, Jim. I am sure the MBA and the Accountant that run CC probably have a Station T-shirt and Hat clothing account that they consider a income stream too.. so that might be considered part of the benefits package and that might get the pay up there to that amount...

RE: Booster's comment. It's now called Idaho Commerce and Labor but the $7.50 per hour might be a little high for Clear Channel.

Hey Larry, if this is such a great format, how come no other station is jumpin in to fill the hole? Might be because it isn't a viable format any more......it's gone the way of easy listening and big band....all big winners in their day, but now not so much.
