I just finally GOOGLED to find out what has happened to our beloved 50`s/60`s music and Big Jack here in Boise and I do agree the 60`s/70`s station that is currently broadcasting is missing the mark !!! Kgem Am is OK as always and we still have our Jazz station but I also sure miss Jack and the 50`s/60`s !!! I Recently spent a week in Newport , Oregon and listened to FM 100.7 I think it was that still played the GOOD OLD STUFF . Wishing Jack the best .... CREAM ALWAYS RISES TO THE TOP !!! , Chuck (Venture Photo)

I worked with Jack for almost 6 years... And what a time!!! In fact he is indirectly related to my wife. I respect him, I love his product, I love his work, better yet he is a good person. Big mistake, CC.

By the way Dizzle, you wouldn't have happened to work with me at the stations in the mid to late 90's??

I really hate to see the wonderful Jack to be off the air and not have the same fun from the other oldie stations as if we would have from big jacks station. I believe that there isn't any trouble in jack and I believe that he'll come back and entertain us again because oldies arn't the same anymore and I just believe that jack will come to get this wondrful city going again in wonderful music and messages too. He has been a friend for us even if he doesn't know any of us and I will always keep him on my friendship list forever and his wonderful music too. I wish you luck and I hope you can entertain us again thanks Jack. P.S. I can wait to hear you again

I am truely saddended to hear that the OLDIES and BIG JACK are gone. The Boise air waves will not be the same. I am in my sixties and I thought the fastest growing segment of our society. We were on several of 50's/60's cruises where a lot of the young people working on the ship knew the words to all the oldies songs played. They were even singing them while off duty. So wouldn't the mangaement want to cater to our group and the younger generations? One would only think. People my age love our beloved music from the 50's and 60's. Big Jack has become sinonimous with that era. Clear Channel is a misnomer. It's obvious their vision is not very clear. Best of Luck Jack and can't wait to hear whats coming next. We are with you. Take care big guy

There is NO DOUBT Jack will land on his feet. I'll join the chorus by saying that working for and with Jack in the past is a highlight for me in this crazy career. Those days at KF95 we're some of the best... the days before all the corporate consolidation. Okay, so the pay back then sucked, but life was simpler and FUN!!! Thanks for the FUN, Jack! Can't wait to hear what the news will be!

What a sad business to be in. No wonder it's so hard to find real talent like Jack, who actually wants to work for peanuts and puts up with the gigantic, greedy corporate radio pigs! Thousands of radio people have left the biz because of crap like this! I hope Cheap Channel goes bankrupt and a christian company buys and reclaims their evil empire of greed. Radio in Boise is being held hostage by three tight assed corporations. Any one who dreams of longevity in a market can kiss it goodbye.
One way to get them out of here is to write down XM or Sirius instead of radio stations in arbitron diaries. When cheap channel and the rest can't sell ads, they'll dump the stations and move on.
