I know there are bets being made in referece to how long I will stay out of the business. Who knows...hopefully you'll all keep your money and I'll stay out forever, but stranger things have happened. It is in my blood, just as Jerr said. One of my fondest memories is going to work with my dad (Bill Bailey) and him giving us kids things to do so we would stay quiet while he was on-air. My job was really important. I read the playlist and found upcoming songs....I pulled them from the racks of 8-tracks and stacked them up for him. I've been around radio all my life and my dad always told me to stay out of the radio business. I had fully planned to stay out. In November of 1999, he asked me to work for him as an on-air traffic reporter and I jumped at the chance, I was once again hooked. I love radio, there is no denying it...the split shifts I have been working the past 6 1/2 years is what I can do without. Maybe the right radio job will come along and it may be an offer I can't refuse...if it is, then I may be back. Never say never. Jacky, you were the highlight of my afternoons and I miss you!
