I found this site while googling "Q104 The Rock of Idaho". I used to listen to that station as a teenager back in the early 80s. I'm looking for a Q104 window sticker for my car. It's kind of a retro-Boise thing. If you have any leads on one, please shoot me a note at haqitman at gmail.com. I'd appreciate it. ~Pete

The ROCK of Boise is taken as a variant of "The ROCK of Idaho" It has been used on Q104 and J105 logos alike, as well as KFXD, KIDO, and I can't remember if KUUZ-on at 96.9 ever touched the phrase.

We tried something like that...it was the FIRST version of KSRV the Cruise. I loved it but apparently management didn't. I think the current version is in good shape, but I miss the AC 80s.

How does this sound...The seven degrees of ROCK!

"The ROCK of Boise!"

We're Still Everything that Rocks from but now instead of 70's and 80's hits, we ROCK AC/DC to Aerosmith to System of a Down to Evans Blue to Soundgarden to Nine Inch Nails to Pearl Jam to Led Zeppelin to Judas Priest to Chevelle to Seether to Velvet Revolver to Tool to Red Hot Chili Peppers to Pink Floyd...

Lets just take the last 40 years of music and some good current stuff that just plain kicks a$$ and blow the doors off this place?!

I made sure the AC/DC, Ozzy, Supertramp and Tom Petty CDs got rescued from my friend Keith's estate sale, along with his Pioneer Project 100s...least I could do on short notice : (

I'm still trying to get some noise out of my AM, discovered the 2000 Pioneer DV-C603 DVD player doesn't love being near my '80 Pioneer SX-D7000 and monitor aside there's still something whining some (I don't emit a carrier). KGEM is next to non-existant and KTIK will never see the light much living next to KSRV, which sounds better than ever now and guess WHO was nice enough to do voiceovers on the jingles? (Huge Gracias Jack--sounds great)

I can't lose for oldies now...

There are still more people in the county jail than residents, I'd bet. Why can't these guy just take 102.7 themselves? That's a bit greedy.

I still have a J-105 Boot keychain somewhere. Seem to remember them playing Hank williams and Sinatra back to back at one point.

Don't forget when 97.9 KBOI-FM was "rock" in the evenings.

Have to find a reel to reel and dig through my tapes for the airchecks of 92.3 KBBK and the original "Kiss-FM" 92.3 KIYS.

The new Melba 97.7 probably will be country!
