Say it ain't so.

Years ago I was hooked in by Phil when he aired a young boy by the name of R.C. Collins on his radio show. R.C. was the recipient of a kidney after his failed. R.C. wasn't on the air to thank the man who donated his kidney. R.C. thanked Satan who blessed him with a new kidney. I was floored. Driving through Stanley late one summer night pulling in KIFI, Los Angeles on the AM skip listening to a kid praising Satan. Well, you should have heard the calls. People calling in telling R.C. he was an ungrateful little SOB.

It wasn’t until years later when I learned the truth when I tuned in on the internet and heard Phil’s how we do it show. He did every one of his voice characters in the span of an hour from Margret Grey to Ted Bell to his boss, David G. Hall. Oh, and who could forget his dead-on Art Bell impersonation as he interviewed General Johnson Jameson outside the gates of Area 51.

Of course, nothing tops his studio engineer, Bud Dickman, who would occasionally step in for Phil and host The Bud Dickman Weekly Countdown -- totally put Kasem and Dees to shame.

You'll be missed Phil. The Boise Chapter of the Citizens Auxiliary Police salutes you!

Phil is a funny dude. Not as funny as Sean Hannity, but close.

Too bad Uncle Phil was not available live for Treasure Valley listeners.

BTW, looks like Collin Cowherd will continue to grace our underwatted KTIK airwave. Lucky us!

On the note of change....Phil Hendrie is retiring from radio. Tonight(Friday) is his final broadcast.

Those who were not able to listen to his show missed the greatest radio format ever. His talent will be missed by all his fans.

The Herd was on this morning on the "ticket" - calling out the fat slob choker, Phil M. (the golfer).

Radio Don, if you could share your source(s) on this it would be much appreciated. I can't find anything on the net that references this upcoming event.

I think Colin's not bad at all, but then, maybe I am in the minority...
