Isn’t that what everyone is doing? Stealing other people’s ideas and work?? No more original thoughts?

Plagiarism the basis on which most radio stations are created?? An idea or image from elsewhere that is popular and successful??

Right?

Most of the news stories I’ve “re-written” have been plagiarized. I’ve even recorded TV Newscasts, lifted audio cuts and re-worked a story around the “new audio” I made from someone else’s work. I thought that’s what producers just did?? Get the information for your people as fast as possible, no matter the source??

Can we talk about something different now?? Please???

Holy crap Don! I just read the Scene, and Michael Deeds TOTALLY stole your Dixie Chicks story & acted like it was HIS story! OMG, Don! It’s a Travesty! It’s a Sham! It’s a Mockery! It’s a traveshamockery!

I’d sue Don. These kind of injustices cannot go without equal & opposite reactions! This is horrific! I can’t be….hey wait, woooooooooooo…is that Carrie Underwood on the cover of Scene?

I’ll just let Jerr’s statement echo my thoughts on “Media hawk’s” note (I’m out of town, so your “attack” kinda doesn’t work since I had nothing to do with the coverage).

And I refuse to believe that Deeds didn’t see the fact that more than 70 comments were generated on the Dixie Chicks story as an indication there is some heat to the story. Dan Popkey gave him the idea? Come on Tim. It IS a national story – I “stole” it from Billboard Radio Monitor. But sometimes when it quacks like a duck… you know.

And as far as giving Deeds credit, I’ve done nothing but fawn over The Other Studio – and frankly, my notes about him in the last six months have been pretty positive.

Don’t get to buying a bigger hat yet dude. The story (which is essentially a national one) came across his desk via Dan Popkey who got it from some service called Impact Media.

But I realize how much fun whining is. I do.
