Hello from California. I wish I had known about your meeting. I would have loved it. I was KBOI's noon news anchor in the early 70s. I'm currently a criminal defense lawyer in LA county. Glad to hear my ol' buddy Marty Holtman is still around. Jim Bates

Greetings:
I am proud to be a member of "The History of Idaho Broadcasting Foundation" Art Gregory and Frank Aden have a wealth of history relating to Idaho Broadcasting.

I have listened to Boise Valley Radio for nearly 60 years. We have a few winners in 2006 and some great broadcasters in the past.
In the 1940's and 1950's, Frank E. Hurt & Son, Inc. dba as KFXD AM580 was a class act.
KBOI's 50KW Radio Operation on Frequency 670 put Boise, ID on the radio map. My Father had the pleasure of working for Jim Johntz, Jr, as a Staff Engineer for KBOI-TV and the 50KW Radio.

I believe KDJQ has real potential with their 50KW on 890. Big Jack Armstrong is helping with the afternoons. Now if they could get "Mitch In The Morning" formerly with CC.
On a recent road trip, nice signal to Pendleton, OR and Burley on the other side.

Thank you kindly to Frank Aden Jr. and the Gregories, and I will do that 1 August. The price is small compared to the benefits.
