Bring it Codger ... Don't hide behind a blog. Let's you and I meet face to face and discuss the formatics of Oldies.

The Oldies format IS NOT DEAD. It's been made that way by company ladder climbers who buy into a myth or an idea that's been handed out at a programming conference by a 30 year old who has no idea what the format is and what it can do and what it will always continue to do.These ladder climbers say "Yes, yes, you are right!" then go back to their stations, never research the market, they just take the word of a guy who could fire them. They then change the format to a ... oh, I don't know, maybe a country station, lose 75% of the ratings and spin it by saying "We're rebuilding."

Then people like you throw gas on the fire thinking your contribution makes you a programming genius when in fact you look very clueless.

My email is jack@northwestmotorfest.com . Let's get together and discuss this. When the discussion is done, you'll look at the oldies format is very different eyes ... guarenteed!

And one more thing, if the oldies format sucks so bad, then why are former oldies stations that went to the BOB or JACK formats GOING BACK TO OLDIES? And why have other stations changed their formats to oldies when the oldies station went to something else?
And if they suck so bad, then why is OLDIES 101 in Spokane #2? I voice track middays and I'm very proud to prove people like you wrong.

As for not getting any ratings on KDJQ, it's a matter of paper work. It didn't get done in time. Not because it sucks, because it didn't get done in time.

Your move Codger

Hey, maybe it's because they don't own KDJQ.com. I do. Hey, KDJQ people, I'm willing to sell the domain to you. No, I don't want millions (or even thousands) of dollars for it. Make me some kind of interesting offer and I'll almost certainly let you have it.
