I just got back from a 3 week vacation, no credit card shock and my job (good pay, retirement benefits, vacation & sick leave, no firing without warning and only for cause) was here when I returned… oops, sorry… I don’t work radio anymore… WHEW!

Gee, who funds “studies” like this? Could it be, oh, I don’t know–INDUSTRY? You know, the people who would have it in their interest to “prove” that American workers are lazy and should be paid less?

And as for why Americans are taking fewer vacations, could it be because they’re afraid that if they DO take one, there’ll be someone else’s ass in their seat at work when they come back? Or is it perhaps because gasoline is at $3.+ a friggin’ gallon? Just asking.

so, If I actually worked, then I’d be able to take time off for vacation.. hmmm… work…

Of course, it could be that taking a vacation is so flippin’ expensive these days its not worth the credit card shock after your return…
