THANK YOU KIDO Radio. I appreciate the fact that you will not be interrupting the regular programming all night long to repeat the same information I can catch in 20 minutes on TV or in the Statesman. Thank you, Thank you!
How will they know the winners on Tuesday? I knew it these elections are rigged!
Oops…
So by the same token, the TV stations are idiots for interrupting programming with information you can get in the paper or on the radio. And the folks at the Statesman are idiots for devoting so much space to information you can get on TV or on the radio. Moron.
Do you mean to tell me we have to endure the regularly scheduled programming, already in progress?
Moron? I think you are the true moron. Keep your inbred comments to yourself. I vote. I read a great deal on the subject of local, national and global current events and historical events. I do care, but the constant barage of talking heads all night long wears on all of us. I dont watch much prime time TV, its mostly mindless crap and a waste of time to me. The statesman can do its job as well… as soon as it goes to press.I do value the radio programming. KBOI did a great job of covering the bases on election night. KBSU was also very on top of its game KIDO did hourly updates. By the way, Seir, I have probably forgotten more about news programming and journalist skills than you will ever know! Dont be so quick to call folks names when you obviously dont have a clue in the first place.
I guess I am just getting old, but I remember when it was radio stations that stayed with the elections until the very end, and if you are going to say a 24 hour newsroom, why at midnight would you say we’ll have all the results with Chris Walton and Paul J?
Radioactive. LOL!
So, let me get this straight;
In depth, extensive, live coverage of our patriotic right, that American’s have given their lives for, is to much to ask for once every two years?
Election coverage is THE BIG NEWS. It’s local, it’s national, and more important than a syndicated talk program. The election coverage on KBOI & KTVB was excellent.
Carolyn Holly was almost giddy (in a good way)at 2:00am.
Not surprised to hear you’ve forgotten it. Probably why you’re working where you’re working these days. Is it in radio? Is it? Or did your career begin and end back in the days when 20 radio stations in the valley employed full staffs? When the competition was oh so keen. By the way, the subject was whether radio should bother covering something you can get on TV and in the newspaper, and you didn’t address it in your rebuttal. You just gave me your impressive resume’. So my point is made. You made the point that radio shouldn’t bother covering a story you can find out about elsewhere. I made the point that it should bother. I still think I’m right.
