That board in the video is identical to the one I remember from HOT 104 in Pullman, WA. If you coughed, sneezed or farted near it the damn thing would short out! I think it was made by Fisher-Price.
Anyone remember the old KFXD-AM board on Amity, or the KTFI production room in Twin Falls? The pots were tripped by those red touch sensors that I thought were so cool…until I scuffed my feet on the carpet and zapped every pot that was on, off…and every pot that was off, on! DOH!
Oh Tommy… many wonderful memories of the static in that building on Amity (and the toilets that never worked) but I never had to do much on the AM. I chuckle remembering back to when I was doing afternoons at KF95, and BAD BOB LEE was running the religious shows on KFXD-AM. Now and then he’d screw something up and he’d start cussing up a storm in there. What fun we had…
I couldn’t replace that “touch-sensitive” Ramko fast enough. You would walk into the room and everything would turn on. Or, a little power glitch would do the same thing. Wish I could have replaced Bob at the same time…… (He was kinda the same way — a little glitch and he lit up also…..)
Oh, the memories that leaves me! Although we went from records to those reel to reel recorded tapes. CD’s were still years away from being marketable. I remember those turntables, the board, the mic, the carts, and that 70’s – 80’s music.

So you transformed it into a bizzaro board?
Did it sound kinda like when Prophet starts playing three or four tracks at once???
:)

That was so much fun! Thanks.
