The Eagle, The Bronco and the muddy signal

Don Day | December 28, 2006

KKGL/96.9 The Eagle has re-imaged itself as 96.9 The Bronco. The station’s liners, sweepers and overall presentation has been reworked to include “The Bronco.” The station also registered 96-9thebronco.com and reworked the site to match.

Meanwhile, KKGL is on its backup transmitter… and the signal is pretty muddy.

Update: This transformation is just temporary…

Many of us who are not Bronco fans were wondering if this is permanent or just a trendy neat thing for the BCS event?

Thanks for the clarification Don, Bronco fans might want to obtain any of the stickers etc that go along with “The Bronco” promotion as it might be a neat collectable in the years ahead….

Do you suppose Citaswell paid extra royalties for the right to use the logo. I’m sure their deal is for KBOI only?

Smart imaging. V-e-r-y smart. Might as well ride the coat tails of Your AM sister station that, by the way, is going to have a HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE book.

Oh, and for the previous post regarding, “Many of us who are not Bronco fans”; this is exactly the reason why Boise needs a detox center.

PS: Don, how can we get a transcript to the Idaho Statesman’s Dan Popkey who let loose the most vicious, insulting, tirade against BSU? All caught on video tape that aired on KTVB, I believe. Out of all the national slander against our team of hero’s, there was absolutely nothing more vile than what Popkey said.
