I'm looking forward to hearing something different on KTPZ. Tired of the "Man Show". It's so fake. The music is way overplayed and there's no creativity. All they do is TRY to be funny. If they could just relax and be themselves more, it would work. Bring a woman into the mix!
I am looking forward to hearing what Dave can do to turn things around.

A translator is the only thing thats gonna work to noticibly improve KSRV's coverage in the area they desire to cater to most (or so they claim)- the Western Treasure Valley. Even if the FCC authorized them to have more power or a "larger antenna" it won't help to penetrate tough terrain, like Clay Peak. A stronger signal makes for stronger multipath.

They could always try a on-frequency booster. However, as we have learned from KTPZ and KAYN's attempt at boosting their signal in Boise, the fringe areas of the booster signal's coverage turn into fuzz. That would probably make the signal worse in most places.

Funny, Clay Peak used to be quite a convienient terrain feature when it supported the old tranmitter site. Now it's kind of a pain in the ass, huh?

I would hope that some of the management would understand by moving a signal, you change the audience of the station.

KSRV-FM is a Boise station now? Right?.

It's kind of sad because all of these management-type people are coming back to Boise and they don't see any new way to create revenue with different formats.

I know in the history of Locally Owned, changing a format is no big deal but why doesn't any of the station ideas stick, find an audience and stay on the air??

Since the company has a full power station on the air now in the Capitol City of Idaho, why would having a station focusing on music and information about the western part of the valley succeed in Boise?

Is there another Locally Owned signal going up in the Western Treasure Valley anytime soon?

FYI, I'm not taking any shots at the job and what Dale does. Dale works very hard and is truly an awesome human being.

Don, I am one of "Dale's Guppies" from over at Owyhee Plaza. He will understand the reference, I promise.

Wow...a tower was moved? Amazing! I swear I saw that tower on Clay Peak just the other day when I driving to Ontario for hot date with some Internet Chat chick. KSRV sounded fine to me all over the place since I was freakin lost. Stupid date turned out to be Frankenstein with pimples. Note to self...next time, ask for a picture. Blech.
