Dennis Miller comes to KBOI

Don Day | March 19, 2007

KBOI/670 AM will again tinker with its programming schedule, swapping Dennis Miller in to the slot currently held by Laura Ingraham. Miller’s show launches nationwide Monday March 26th, and will air on KBOI weekday mornings at 10am after Paul J. & Chris.

Finally, something cool comes back to the AM Dial. I’ve always liked Dennis Miller. I heard him co-host The Jim Bohannon Show last week and he sounded decent.

With that said, I think the show itself will last only one year in it’s current time slot then possibly get bumped to a morning slot for CBS Radio’s Free-FM chain.

How’s he going to fair on radio if we can’t see that head-bobble he used to do on SNL Weekend Update back in the day?

Glad there is some optimism from you all. I dont see it that way. It just went from bad to worse. But maybe its good that we have a little variety to choose from now. Time will tell how he does in the ratings. Hopefully, he will make a believer out of me….

Glad to see we’re getting Miller, but sad to see it comes at Laura’s expense. :(

Awesome, can’t wait. Dennis always has a fresh slant. Plus his political views have always aligned with mine.
Guess I will have to sacrifice Rome for Miller in the AM…..

    Thanks KBOI…

What a big goof! Someone told me (83) they hoped to reach a younger audience.

Laura is one of the best on radio. Smart, compassionate and well informed on the going’s on in Washington.

A fatal mistake has been made. Dennis Miller flunked out on Monday night football, so we will see how it goes, but I will not be one of his listeners. About 30″ of him is all I can tolerate.

I can’t believe you replaced Laura Ingraham with Dennis Miller. He is just ok, but Laura is awesome! I miss hearing her. I guess my healthy radio addiction is in withdrawls!! Why don’t you bring back Laura in her regular slot, and put Dennis Miller in place of Michael Savage which we turn off anyway as soon as he comes on. That guy is too hard to listen to because he so mentally unhealthy. If Laura doesn’t come back on the air somewhere, we will most likely join her online with her 365 broadcast. Maybe it’s no big deal losing listeners. Your call!!

Having listened for several days…….No doubt that Glenn Beck is the best Boise offers in talk radio. How long will Dennis last until he is on to a new project?

Laura is on KTFI 1270 AM just before Bill O’Reilly. So no, she is not gone from Idaho’s airwaves. Maybe some other Boise station will pick it up. She does a nice show.
