Magic’s a tease

Don Day | March 22, 2007

KZMG/Magic 93.1 is running promos noting that “On Monday April 2nd at 7:20am, Magic 93.1 will be dead.”

Who knows what the deal is… but is this really the time to make big changes at a CHR station? Just saying… that’s all.

This is obviously a promotion stunt. (And nothing captures the imagination like death!)

KZMG could be going Rhythmic as “Wild 93.1″! How’s that for a wild idea? (Citadel owns “Wild 102.9″ in Reno.)

Uh, April fools day is on the first, dudes.

Or what if they really aren’t joking, and plan to flip to Spanish? Oh well.

Good grief! Not the rhythmic debate again. If they’re going to be dead I hope there’s a Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) in place. Flat line!

Not to stir controversy (har har) but anyone remember “The End is Near”? (The End Seattle-alternative rock flip?). I know, I know…they wouldn’t dare…

I think Citadel might pull the plug. I hate to say it but I think Magic has had it’s glory days in the early 90’s. I think the whole CHR format in Boise needs re-evaluated.

    OR…

Magic goes full blown rhythmic with Aaron Traylor as PD.

Personally, I’d like to see them use the same concept Citadel is using in Albuquerque with the Hot Talk/FM Sports station, “96.3 The Buzz”

    Spice things up a bit!

Magic and Kiss should both flip to Country. :)

I somehow don’t think there will be any listeners…
Rejoycing. That was an akward pause.

Magic pulled this crap before where allegedly the morning show pulled an April fools prank on the general manager and he fired them for it. This went on for a couple days before (ha ha ha) they were back on the air laughing like ass-clowns saying “April Fools” – they are probably going to cut their air signal for an hour at 7:20am and then pop back on with the “ha ha ha” crap again.
