The way Scott Souhrada said that they only intended it to attract adults, not kids, is probably the worst excuse I’ve heard yet because that’s exactly what cigarette companies have said.

Now look at the results, so many kids smoke because they want to be like the adults and the adults look up at advertisements and “put them to use”. Everyone who smokes has more than one problem due to it’s toxic content.

My point is, even though it many be attractive to men does not mean it is appropriate to place something like that before the public eye- extremely not wise. If a seven year old says it’s disgusting then the station really needs to wake up and change their perverted advertisement.

Regardless of what anyone thinks…. I’ll bet the promotions and marketing director etc at the station is loving every second of it all…. Someone famous once said (damn I wish I could remember who…) “the only bad PR is no PR…” All the newspaper and TV media hype(huh, no radio coverage, imagine that) is getting their promotions out that money cannot buy… A well done advertising and marketing campaign regardless if you think the people who put up the billboards are complete A–Holes or not.

Tester did okay when he did the move out of Ontario with BOB FM formatics and the free mentions…..The Eagle did excellent with their promotion. It just cost the Eagle boys some cash to pull it off.

And in a related story the girl wonder reporter over at Ch 2 did a story for the 4pm Snews that indicated an Offical Reponse from the station is forthcoming on Thursday….(Thursday….could there be a reason for a Thursday during ratings sweep?) or she said you could call the station and get the answer….

Anyone want to call and get newsbeat on it….
