I am back in Austin now, and want to give special thanks to all who attended Victor's memorial and to all his friends who offered their condolences.
Victor might have added that everything just fit together nicely. Thank you Garnet Edwards for the beautiful garden setting. Thank you KBSU and Kevin Kirk for the enlarged photos of Victor. The sound was great too Kevin and Gary.
Thank you brother Paul , Karl Smith, Brad, Davis, Michaela, and David Linger for your live renditions of some of Victor's favorites. Thank you Melissa, Dodie, brother Richard, Linda Laz, Marla, Michael Z., John Hess and Chaplain Alex for your kind and comforting words. Thank you Gary and your staff at Bowman's for making it a perfect evening. My family also wants to thank the Statesman's Monica Johns for her In Remembrance piece on Victor. I will always treasure this send off that Boise gave my brother. Thank God for Victor and all of you.

There will be a memorial service for Victor Monday July 2nd from 7 - 9 PM at Edward's Greenhouse. I am told Victor wanted something of a casual affair so people are encouraged to bring a blanket to hang out and remember his life. I owe my interest in radio annd my start at KBSU to Victor's show which was an amazing program for a kid growing up in Meridian.

I am saddened by the news of Victor's death. I have known him for more than 25 years and will miss my visits with him when I am in Boise. My heart goes out to his family and many, many friends. "Private Idaho," you will be missed.
