You people really need to get a life...R H is such an egotistical phony. Ask him a question about how to turn on a radio and he'll tell you how much money he made...forever.

Thanks for the plug Don, and for the kind words commander. Anyone that knows me already has figured out that I love to hear and tell stories about broadcasting. I can't remember what I did earlier in the day, but for some reason radio and television have always made a lasting impression on me. I can remember things I saw on TV 50 years ago... We had a great meeting Thursday night, despite the foorball game, and the Tester folks could not have been nicer. I'd like to publically thank all who attended. They got a sneak preview of the Brand New Studios & Offices of Tester Broadcasting, and I can say without hesitation, everyone was quite impressed. It's all digital and state-of-the-art. The Boomer 100.7 studio is operational and we got to see the other two "in various states of progress. Very interesting to see how they are built, and the innovative wiring that is going on. Some very impressive and expensive microphobes btw. We discussed the history of KBSU which is celebrating their 30th annisersary Spet 30th and discussed the Tester stations. We also heard some great old KATN & KLIX jingles, and several KATN Paul Ryder and Tip Goss airchecks! One from 1963! Both Tip Goss and Gerry Dean Moser where there to hear them! BTW, Don Day's grandfather was mayor of Boise I belive and we have a picture of him signing on the K-10 transmitter in 1961. We also talked with Claudia Weathermon who donated some old vintage headphones plus gave us some great pictures of her Father Don Weathermon! We now have pictures of building of KEEP in Twin and KAYT in Rupert. Thanks to Dave Tester, Claudia Weathermon, Randy Hiatt, Brandy Hulme, and especially our host, AE Andrew Dowd. Stay tuned for news about our October Meeting. These are open to the public and you don't have to be a member to attend. I'd like have our next meeting in Twin Falls. Kelly Klas are you ready for us?

Editor's note: Glad to hear the meeting went well! Just one note - my grandfather was not actually mayor, that was a great uncle, Robert. Donald Day was my grandfather - and his contributions to the community came from offices outside city hall :)

I Attended the last Idaho History meeting when I was up their. I was highly impressed with Art Gregory’s knowledge of radio. Him and I could literally have a 24 hour conversation about radio. I also really liked the video that consisted of the history of KTVV he showed. I would encourage you all to go.
