…no, that’s not the name of a new series on TLC. But check out the inside of former KZMG/KXLT/KTSY guru Dave Arthur’s garage:

That old logo reminds me that I saw that logo sticker on a 1970s Cadillac with a gray-haired dude driving about six months ago. Yes, in 2007…
Also: If you have a cool photo of something old - send it my way. Past features have included this KZMG Hitmakers cover, this Boise Weekly KFXD cover, this Q-104 hat , this KFXD sign and these old pics of the KF95 wall — and I’m sure there are others I’ve posted and forgot about.

Hmmm? A station banner in Dave’s garage for The HOT FM… I don’t think it’s all that’s HOT!

STOLEN PROPERTY!?!?!?! I’m so ashamed to call you my friend. Having it is one thing Daver but showing it off … OH THE HUMANITY!!! What next? Stolen KF95 sweat pants and t-shirts?

Speaking of stolen property… anyone remember when “Evan MC” quit KF95 in the middle of his show and then drove to Magic 93.1 to finish his show? He got arrested the next day because he still had promotional CD’s in his car that Dave and Margo (from KF95) said he stole from the station… Good times, eh?
Jack, yeah I still have the sweat pants, but since they don’t fit the same way they did in 1989, I won’t model them for you. You’re welcome.

When I was at KEEN in San Jose, the afternoon jock had a Sunday remote for Superbowl. He didn’t show for work on Monday and didn’t return the brand new, totally tricked out station van. They went to his apartment and he had moved out and left his own, broken down car there. They found him, the station van and 3 typewriters from the station offices in Nebraska 2 weeks later. The good news… I did afternoons there for the next 4 years! Now THAT’s employee theft!

Yeah Dave, I remember that. He put some BeeGee’s disco tune in the CD player on repeat and super-glued the door shut.
on Oct 18th, 2007 at 10:47 am
Wow. Now THAT is an exit!
on Oct 18th, 2007 at 5:31 pm
LOL… well the part about super-gluing the door shut might be stretching it. He did put something like the BeeGee’s on the air, and then he made it VERY difficult for the “kid” in the KFXD studio next door to put anything else on the air… if the pot was in “Source A”, he put it in “Source B”… or if in “Source B”, he put it in “Source A”. After the kid next door finally killed the Bee Gee’s, they had about 20 minutes of dead air. Certainly NOT the classiest way to leave an employer, but it got us television coverage. Oh, and Magic KILLED KF95 in the ratings, and KF was playing “All Elvis” within a couple months.

What ever happened to Evan?
on Oct 19th, 2007 at 12:29 am
Evan…remember him doing the spots for that night club in Moscow Idaho…crap…what was the name….went by the “beach” for a while. Humm…
on Oct 19th, 2007 at 12:40 am
Was it the Electric Beach…was it down on the corner on main street near Myklebusts…?
on Oct 19th, 2007 at 8:23 pm
As you drove in to Moscow and hit the corner of Main…it was on your right…across teh street…3 story building…top floor or 2nd…cant remember used to be a crappy putt put golf. Then Barry Tassler bought it. Gonna put in a golds gym in the basement…had the sign and everything…but Golds knew nothing of it…never happenend. They put some other work out place there.
Cale should know…he spent lots a time in Moscow. Those spots were cool though that evan did…
Paging Channel 7’s Cale (jimmy foxx) or dang..can’t remember the other names….

After seeing this I can only imagine what Dave might have in his back yard (the station thermometer?) or in his den (the front office phone?)or in his kitchen (the Hot FM oven mitts that were ordered for the contest that never was). Also Dave, I know you took that Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch poster from Captain Mike’s office!
