Bustos to help Mexican flooding victims

Bustos Media and their Boise area stations are helping raise money for victims of recent flooding in the Tabasco region of Mexico. All donations will go to the Mexican Red Cross. Details after the jump

Bustos Media steps up to help the victims of the 2007 flooding in Tabasco, Mexico.

November 6, 2007—More than one million residents of the state of Tabasco, Mexico have been affected by the recent floods. Tabasco finds itself in a critical and catastrophic situation, and the foreseen epidemics only contribute to the unease and fear.

Victims, of what is believed to be worst flooding Tabasco has seen in 100 years, need our monetary help and support. This unfortunate event has been titled, by the president of Mexico, to be “one of the worst natural disasters” to ever hit; affecting a greater number of people than during the Katrina disaster.

Bustos Media and all of its radio and television stations have launched a massive two week relief effort to collect donations to help the victims of the flooding in Tabasco, Mexico. All donations will enable the Mexican Red Cross to provide food, clothing, and medical assistance directly to the victims.

Radio listeners and TV viewers are asked to go to any Wells Fargo Bank, and make their donation to the following account#: 59-92-573-401. Checks or money orders should be made payable to “Ayuda Tabasco 2007.”

All donations will go directly to the Mexican Red Cross. These victims need our support, and now is your chance to help. Remember you can make your donation by check or money order at any Wells Fargo Bank. Simply ask the funds be deposited to “Ayuda Tabasco 2007” account number: 59-92-573-401.

    Thank you very much Don for the help in spreading the word.Saturday and Sunday we will be doing 5 two hour remotes to collect donations and let people know of this disaster.On Saturday we will be at Zamzows in nampa on the boulevard from 10 am-noon at La Casita in Caldwell from 1pm-3pm and Campos Market in Nampa on 16th ave in the holly shopping plaza from 4pm-6pm. On Sunday we will be at Gen X Clothing in Nampa on the boulevard from 10am-noon and Play n Trade in Caldwell across from Wal Mart from 1pm-3pm.
