"The Idaho State Broadcasters Association notes that in 2005 (the most recent year available), Idaho radio stations took in $2.1 in fundraising donations..."

Holy crap. I can dig more than $2.1 out of my sofa cushions. Maybe there was a word missing, like, "million?" :)

KDBI and KQTA is collecting toys at all remotes and sticker stops and at the office to donate to families that have registered with the stations that are in need for presents for thier children of all ages because they cannot afford them this christmas......
on a personal note one of our DJ's El Mata Vaca ( the cowkiller) Gustavo Acosta's dad past away in a tragic car accidant on Wednsday. We at the station are collecting money to help send him home to Texas to be with his family and collecting money to help with burial costs. Gustavo is a warm, funny all around awesome guy who's heart is broken right now. And I hate to see him like this and even my humor can not bring him to smile or laugh and my heart goes out to him. If any one in the radio business spanish or english would like to contribute for this please do not hesitate to do so. You can contact Bustos Media at 463-2900 or stop by at the office at 3307 caldwell blvd in nampa next to the sears outlet building. thank you and please say a prayer for Gustavo

KSRV-AM and Boomer 100.7 are collecting nominations from listeners to "Keep Them Warm this Winter". Listeners nominate someone they know who needs a heating system, then Stan's Heating of Ontario will pitch in with a new Bryant heating/cooling system for their home. This is a shared promotion between KSRV 1380 "the Bull" and "Boomer 100.7"

That is a great run down of the upcoming promotions and fundraisers. I noticed that KIZN gets kudo's for having a promotional insert in each of the Intermountain Natural Gas billing statements encouraging donations and other financial support for its Keeping Kids Warm project.
