KIZN, KQFC revamp sites

KIZN/Kissin’ 92.3 retired its old website for a new KIZN.com - powered by the MediaSpan network. Looks like they’re still moving all the furniture in - since it doesn’t appear to have nearly as much content as the old-school site.

KQFC/97.9 KQFC also overhauled its site.

All of the citadel stations are moving…just takes time to build a craplod of sites…and yes they are all the same…

    pop/rock/country

and news talk or something like that …there are I believe 3 variations. Can’t remember…I just know that I had gotten my site up and running on media span and a few months later they came thru and said that we were all switching to this “other” template.

Don’t worry…Rich will get his content up to date on the KIZN site.

I have no doubt that the KIZN site will be the best of the Boise Citadel bunch…

Is that because Rich has nothing else to do all day?

Nope…he’s got a ton…but he loves to do graphic stuff like that…he is GREAT at painting up NASCAR cars for racing online.

The rest of us don’t have the skills or the programs on the computers to do some of the stuff he does.

The Media Span sites are pretty much plug and play…

Yeah I’ll tell ya - takes a lot of graphic design skills to paste a Kissin 92 logo on Tim McGraw’s T Shirt.

That’s how you get to be number 1 baby!

Well, Billy… maybe that is what it takes — since KIZN is in fact number one ;)

I’ll admit that they’ve done a fine job branding themselves the country leader in the TV. It’s not KIZN that should be worried…

KQFC has the most to loose, even if they get a little bump in the fall book.

How long will this identity crisis of a radio station be able to pull any substantial numbers in the market… especially as long as there is a formidable competitor picking up steam?

I know I’ve been reading ratingsfor several decades more than many of you have lived, I started in radio in 1951, and no I don’t have Alzheimers yet, I was only 5 then. I think its strange you refer to the “little bump” that KQFC got inratings in the Fall book when it was actually a two book uptrend and was good enough for 3rd 25-54 and
Cory n Debi beat the Mee’s to be #2 25-54 behind only Bob and Tom and #1 18-34 in mornings.

Actually I think it’s phenomenal they did that since their website had no updating of events, etc. for least six months while their sister station’s website was improved and updated.
