My dad was a Poky Indian during the early 60's and worked at a couple of radio repair shops in the Pocatello area. He and buddy used to hook up a horribly illegal mobile AM pirate transmitter and cruise the boulevard on the weekends. The two of them would transmit over KWIK/KSEI and even KOMA telling couples to stop kissing and petting! I understand those were the days. I would have loved to have been there, but the stories are just as good.

I cut my teeth in radio back in 1964 doing a one hour show on KWIK from 5-6pm when the studios were located on North Yellowstone. Dick Miner was the gm. As I recall we were running 250 watts day and night. KSEI was the big gun in town. KSNN was a 1000 watt daytimer with a very early sign on

Then Jacor got grabbed by CC and we all know how that turned out...

I wish the "Live 95"/KWIK one was still on YouTube. It was pulled - maybe for copyright issues?

I worked for the late Jim Fox, owner of KWIK and KPKY in the early 90's. I did our news updates at KID and then we linked both stations together with Gary Shockley, who during the rest of the hour, played a lot of that old classic country. It brought back a lot of memories. It's too bad the coach is no longer with us; he was a hell of a boss and owner with a great devotion to radio. KWIK many times outsold his FM stations, up until the time he let go of them to Jacor.

Thanks for the link. There is also a promo for KHOW in Denver that brings back memories of a different era as well on the utube site. Hope that anyone else out there with similar Idaho history will share it like this as well.
