Then you understand how difficult it is to battle back one’s anxiety and fears in order to accomplish the task. That’s why I think Kate & Ysabel, at the very least, should be recognized for doing their jobs and overcoming their fears to do it.
We do not need a public celebration or trumpet fanfare, just a simple “Atta Girls!!” would be sufficient.

Well, let me put a snake in your bed and see how you react. Anxiety is not a fun emotion to have to deal with. I think overcoming fear and anxiety is commendable. But, I guess, you wouldn’t understand unless you have been there.

I could see using that phrase for a firefighter, policeman, or police woman, even a paramedic…..but a radio personality? Come on!

“delusions of adequacy” – Wow, I like it!!! I’ll have to remember to use that one some people I know that think they are all that and a bag of chips.
Teachers take swipes at administrators every day. It’s part of the love/hate relationship they have. Both parties are trying to achieve the same goals from two different perspectives and those perspectives and methods can clash at times.
For those of us who have heard the stories of the bygone days when “…sales and programming {were} at each others throats” and the same love/hate relationship prevailed among them, we can appreciate the “snake in the grass” humor even if it is no longer prevalent in contemporary society and living only in the annals of history.

The day has long passed when sales and programming are at each others throats. In the new age of radio we’ve come to believe we are equal partners. That’s why your so called “humor” is so lame.

My comment about teachers was simply a nod to the Vicar of verbosity. I wanted him to think about how he’d feel if your remarks had been addressed to his chosen career as opposed to mine. I’m sure he’d find it hilarious. (Not).

But go ahead. Laugh it up.

Hmmm…Methinks you doth protest too much…sorry if I offended your sensibilities! I spent 3 decades in the wonderful world of radio…an industry that, at one time, didn’t eat its young. And just to put your mind at ease…and hopefully put an end to your hurt feelings…I can honestly say that not ONCE in those 30 years, did I EVER take a swipe at teachers. I have WAYYYYY too much respect for teachers! ;)
