The ticking clock…
Don Day | March 13, 2008A trio of Idaho stations under construction permits have to get on the air in coming weeks — or they could lose those permits:
- KQPI licensed to Aberdeen has until March 25 to file for their license as a C2 at 99.5 (College Creek-Chris Devine-Chicago)
- KRID licensed to Ashton has until March 28 to file for their license as a class A at 96.5 (College Creek-Chris Devine-Chicago)
- A CP issued to Salmon with no call letters assigned has until April 21 to file for their license as a class C at 94.5 (Skywest Media-Ted Tucker-Tucson AZ)
(Thanks Oldtimer!)
Hey… I liked the song loop you played…
will you please email me the name of the rock song that played at 25 after the hour, Thanks!
License ap for KQPI was accepted for filing March 18, so they got filed under the deadline. Now, if they would just ditch the “heard it once and now it’s boring” construction loop…. Silince can be golden. (You guys up in that neck of the woods … let us know when they finally launch this thing! I passed thru on Sunday, but can’t here them where I am normally).
I don’t see any FCC activity on the Salmon CP… Nor have have I heard any rumblings of anything being built. I guess we can wait and see.
Nothing on the FCC horizon on Ashton so far either ….
KRID at Ashton filed their application for a license on March 18. I went snowmobiling in Island Park over the weekend and KRID was NOT on-the-air!
KQPI Launches at high noon today. Wed. 3/26/2008
