Are they REALLY sending a message to kids that it’s OK to lie? Are parents REALLY having to sit their kids down to explain to them that Kate LIED to them about her car getting stolen?

I seriously doubt it.

Look, it was a “stolen car”. Did the entire Treasure Valley stop what they were doing to go out and look for her car? Did Peak file a police report? Haha. Prolly not. And they may have even gone as far as to inform the police about what they were doing just in case people saw a Kia that resembles the one they talked about and the police started getting calls about it.

Are you serious? It’s THAT big of a deal?

Yeesh wackyhost, I’m not mad, my feelings are not hurt, and I have nothing to get over. I’m not debating whether it was wrong or right… I’m debating if it was a smart thing to do. I listen to the show on a regular basis. It was interesting because I thought the stories they told were true. Now I’ll just assume its all made up to get ratings so I have no interest in tuning in.

Did Mike really get flipped off by that lady at Walmart when he was trying to return her purse? Probably not… No longer interesting.

I don’t care for the message it sends to kids that it is OK to lie about something as long as you are getting a positive outcome at the end. The means does not justify the ends.
I am glad they were caught and have to be responsible for their actions. It proves Treasure Valley radio is still small enough to be very transparent and the community will hold the stations and their personnel to a high level.

Dang… what’s with all the Kia comments?? I drive a Kia and it’s the only car I’ve ever had that has never had ANY major problems!

It was a stunt…everyone fell for it…and now your mad cause yer feelings were hurt….GET OVER IT.

Let the dj’s do their job…they obviously know what they are doing.

My only criticism was that it was a KIA…I mean, who steals Kia’s?

Why is everyone all butt hurt over this?

Kate said her car got stolen on the air as a way to kick off a promotion where they give away a brand new car? Personally, just by the little bit of info that I know, I think it’s a pretty neat way of starting a promo.

I didn’t hear any of what happened, so really… why is everyone all worked up over this? How far did it go?

Buster…. I think we can start with the one about building a network outside of Boise… All kidding aside I really do wonder just how open other markets will be to this. Of course the ultimate decision and response will come from advertisers willingness to buy the gig.
