Farewell Tobin… thanks for keeping the 70’s alive. You’ve always been one hard working guy. You’ll be missed.
Tobin always gave great gifts. He would load up on weird things at the dollar store. I think I still have that stupid egg somewhere.

I too have that stupid egg, and the yellow smily face pencil holder too, like Dave, I miss your worthless crap at Christmas. Peak will be poorer without you. Best of luck in your future, I know you will succeed in all you do.

Tobin will be missed. I enjoyed working for him at Peak while I was an intern over there last summer. He went out of his way to help me when I needed it. Good luck in what ever you do.

Hey Tobin you’ll be missed here in Boise. I have my egg too! Every time I look at it I think of the Flashback Cafe Man!! Best of Luck to you.

Tobin has been a friend for many years, and I had the privilege of also working with him for a long time. One of the most upbeat guys I’ve known!
Tobin, you know Michelle and I think very highly of you and will miss you greatly, even though we never got to spend as much time with you as we should have. I have many pleasant memories of my days as your co-worker and co-conspirator. Its also because of you that I know all about King Cake. And yes, the aforementioned Xmas gifts are probably still in my boxes of accumulated “stuff.” Damn Egg! Never could re-gift it!

WOW, I still have my egg too. However, I also have a smiley face toothbrush holder! Good luck my friend. You will be missed!

Let’s see, the rock egg, the smiley pencil holder, the purple star coaster/ashtray, the red and white poinsettias, the glass penguin, the clay boot flower pot, the wooden backscratcher, the stuffed fruits. I may have missed one but I think that’s the complete set.
During the Broadcast Tech program at BSU, we had to observe a “real radio station” in operation as an assignment. So I got to watch Tobin run things at KBSU for an evening back in ‘92. It was fun, even though I had already been in radio about 5 years and had already seen a real live radio station. Never thought things would get less live at time passed!
I’ll think of Tobin cutting birthday cakes with dental floss, making some damn good Cajun food, bringing the King Cakes for Mardi Gras, letting me steal the fallen leaves out of his yard for my compost pile. And he was the best damn dragon/dinosaur/alligator costume wearin’ mascot KF95/Mix 95 FM/The Legend ever saw!

I still got my egg..but how come I didn’t get a smiley face pencil holder??? I feel dissed.
Good luck Tobin!
Hoss it looks like your in charge of the ugly Christmas gifts from here on out.

In the days of Clear Channel, Tobins office was across the hall and down 2 doors from mine. Occasionally he’d come in, close the door and hide out, calm his nerves, take a deep breath then leave. All because he had had it with the Ops manager.
As for the famous Tobin ceramic eggs … mine was surgically removed from the previously mentioned Ops manager and the smiley face mug too!
G’ luck Tobin.

Tobin… what a great bunch of memories I have from the days when you were at Magic and I was at KIZN to the Traffic Center to workng together at Clear Channel. Then there were all the parties in between… Your AWESOME Louisiana cooking at your Mardi Gras party and the hillarity of the Cannon Ball Run party to helping Anita and I with our wedding. Always wonderful times! Anita and I (and our kids) love you dearly and you will be missed my friend!

I have ceramic boot from one of Tobin’s ugly Christmases. I had the pleasure of being one of Tobin’s mentors way back in 1994. He did 6-midnight at KF95, I did all nights. He was quite new in the business. He let me critique airchecks and he’d hang around the studio all night talking radio. Later, at Clear Channel, I had the opportunity to learn from Tobin. You were definitely one of the bright points of those Clear Channel years, Cajun Spud!

you’re right, Robin. there were a few bright points of those clear channel years, and Tobin was definitely one of ‘em. err…ummm…what were the others?

Oh come on Ken, good times at Clear Channel abounded. What about you losing a hand helping me move my office, or the secretary with the tatoos on her eyes, and reveling in Chris’s sunny disposition. And of course who can forget Tobin’s Papa Smurph costume, complete with tail and blue tights. . . ahh good times my friends.

Leave it to Jack to turn a good luck Tobin blog into a posting about himself…..way to go buddy.
