Tario falls into the Gap
Don Day | May 24, 2008R&R reports former Clear Channel Boise VP and one-time CC Twin Falls manager Terry Tario has landed a new gig. Tario will replace Mike Schutta at the helm of GapWest’s properties in Idaho Falls & Pocatello.
“We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Terry’s caliber to join our team,” GapWest president Erik Hellum told R&R in a prepared statement. “Not only is he one of the most seasoned and respected broadcasters in the state of Idaho, he is also a great cultural fit for GapWest. With his focus on people, product and a positive workplace, he will lead our team in Idaho Falls and Pocatello to accomplish great things.”
Tario takes over June 2
This is great news for Gap. Terry was/is one of the finest GMs around, far surpassing those who subsequently filled his shoes (or crocs/man clogs..whatever) Not only is he a talented broadcaster, he’s a gifted leader and creates a postive work environment. Congrats Terry!
wow, that last comment could be taken one of two ways: either anonymous “Clear Channel survivor” is sincere in his/her best wishes, or…
they’re kissin’ up and hoping for a new gig!
(must squelch inner cynic and think only the best.)
lol….it was sincere. Already have a great gig…just a whole lotta respect for Terry. (blush)
Chenged his/her user name too already…so… TWO suck ups ;)
WELL TARIO TRAINED ME BACK IN THE DAYS OF KEEP AM AND KEZJ FM. HE IS GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES, AND WILL DO WELL FOR GAP. BEWARE, HE DOES HAVE A LITTLE TEMPER…BUT THEN WHO DOESN’T IN RADIO??
