KZMG, Magic 93.1, is looking for a hardworking, motivated and organized night talent/promotions director. We’re looking for a multi-task monster to come and dominate nights with an interactive, high-energy show and own the streets and the airwaves with killer, one-of-a-kind promotions in one of America’s most livable cities. We are moving quickly on this hire, so don’t delay!

Duties include:
Managing/executing all station promotions, events and contests.
Work closely with programming and sales to maximize ratings and revenues with compatible promotions/marketing.
Partial live, partial voice-tracked night show!

Scope
Conceives, coordinates and implements on-air and off-air promotions and events in order to promote the station’s image, logo and general presence in the marketplace and primary demographic. Also, creates positive image and tone of station through performing and interacting with audience and clients in studio and/or remote broadcasts.

General Responsibilities
Creates and executes promotional events and contests within the departmental budget.
Negotiates and purchases collateral and other promotional items.
Develops strategic relationships with entertainment and event venues to benefit the station.
Works with local charities to the mutual benefit of the community, the charity and the station.
Recruits, hires, trains and supervises support personnel.
Provides regular coaching and performance feedback to staff.
Develops and manages annual departmental budget.
Works closely with station webmaster for web-based promotions.
Entertains and informs listeners
Introduces programs and music
Reads commercial copy and public service announcements
Keeps traffic logs and transmitter readings
Assists in special promotions and programming activities

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulations
Understanding of station’s programming strategies
Computer literacy in applicable programs
Excellent verbal communication skills
Problem-solving ability and skill in prioritizing
Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels
Ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines
Skill in operation of control board, remote broadcasting and other related production equipment

Education and Licensing Requirements
High School diploma
Must possess valid state drivers license
Physical Requirements
May occasionally require lifting up to 25 lbs.
Able to sit for extended periods of time
