EEO part one

Don Day | June 3, 2008

We’ll take our annual look at the contents of local EEO files later this week – but it is always interesting to see which stations are in compliance of the requirements. The EEO files must be posted on station website by June 1.

I can vouch for KSRV… Dale and Mitch are over 45. On top of that Dale is in the Elks… that has to count for some sort of minority status; beastially speaking.

Am I crazy or is this article incorrect? KSRV AM has no website, KSRV-FM has a link.

Editor’s note: KSRV’s EEO info is now on the home page…

It’s amazing in the KSRV EEO report… I’m curious where the alleged felonious activities are “checked in”… The start date of this “initiative” is the same date IRN posted the return of the Impact Radio name to the valley.

    OUTREACH INITIATIVES
    #3
    Activity: Mentoring Program for Employees
Date of Activity: Started February 12, 2008, Every Tuesday 5:00pm-6:00 pm, stopped May 6,
2008 (put on hold for summer months)
Employees: Brandi Hulme, Zach Ritchie, Shiloh Holmes
    Host: Dave Tester
Brief Description: The program went into detail on prospecting, testing and tracking, holding
ourselves accountable, decision makers, how to find them and add value,
differentiate ourselves from the clutter, and how to “fix it”, revive old accounts
that have been long forgotten or may have bad blood with the station.
The program formulated individual goals, both professional and personal while
making the employees hold each other accountable to meet them. The program
taught the power of a positive attitude. And how to block out the negative,
build each other up and become a great support system for one another.
The program is currently on hold for the summer. The goal is to have
established personal and professional goals accomplished over the course of the
summer and do “check ins” with Dave and fellow employees to keep
    everybody on track.

Boy do I remember the days of having to type the Public File by hand and keep track of all the news stories and PSA’s. Glad I don’t have to do that anymore!!
