KIDO/580 AM has revamped its logo and brand - and is even slightly changing its on-air moniker.
The station now goes by “five-eight-oh K-I-D-O” instead of the old “five-eighty.” The tag line “Bronco Nation’s New Station” is also in use. Then there’s the logo, which looks… familiar.

So this logo or sticker should be good for at least, what, 2 years or so….

2 years and they are done, with the TV contract and the Radio deal both expiring in 2010 they will joined into a bundle package and sold. Peak can enjoy it for now but no matter how good or bad they do it is gone in 2 years and going to a large media group. Something like the MWC has most likely.

Let’s say Learfield gets the “contract” in 2010. Even then Boise State would pick the play by play crew and it would probably be originated by a local station. The BIG difference is the broadcast would be sold and distributed by Learfield Comm.. Local station would get some of the action but not like it is now.

My sentiments exactly…How 70’s!…Our 4 year old can rhyme better. No, and I’m not one of those who are pissed P.J. and 670 lost the contract.

The word “copycat” and the phrase “lack of imagination and creativity” immediately come to my mind.
Oh, oops, I’m thinking of all those stupid court and reality shows again. My bad.
