KJR-FM has become an automated also-ran with no morning hosts and a weak daily lineup. Yes, it was a pretty weak lineup, but when my other options as a 27 year old are Easy Listening, Classic Rock, Crappy Rap, or 100.3 which plays the same Tool song every 20 minutes, it was nice to actually listen to something different. It was announced Wednesday that the station will become "KIRO FM" on August 12 at 5 am. Good luck at 99.1, Jack and Brian. Sandy and I just spent a week in Seattle. No more oldies format there. KBSG has morphed into light classic pop rock as B97.3.
