I looked for Mitch’s car in the Bull parking lot as Sandy and I drove through Ontario Friday night. If it would have been there we would have stopped in to say hi. Mitch is a local Idaho boy — how many can say that in Boise radio? He’s a survivor, too. I’ve worked for him and he’s worked for me at several stations since 1977. When he was out of radio at times he sold satellite dishes or drove a school bus. Mitch took over for me teaching high school students to become radio announcers in the Boise School District Career Education Program. Clear Channel didn’t appreciate the dedication he put into Classic Country KFXD and apparently Impact Radio doesn’t appreciate strong, experienced talent, either. Mitch, look into substitute teaching or becoming a teaching paraprofessional. It can give an ex-broadcaster in his 50’s a new lease on life! And it’s rewarding!
Robin is right on the money… You probably dont remember our conversation in the KIZN studio Mitch but back in the early 90’s that was your plan…exit plan to get out radio… Take Robins advice and get into teaching…its very rewarding and can pay the bills unlike radio these daze…there are many programs to help fast track you if you need the extra motivation and PS…DONT LET THE BASTARDS GET YOU DOWN….keep your head up
Mitch…Hang in there, you are a talented guy and something good will come your way.
maybe it is time we Idaho boys got our own radio station.
Mitch… Dangit! Sorry this happened again. You’re a gentleman and a great talent. Whatever you do next, and wherever you land, I hope its soon and I hope it brings much satisfaction.
Best to you!
I heard it on good authority that Mitch has something really cool in the works… You know I always wish the very best for you my friend!
Mitch, the above have said it well… You are a gent and a great talent!
It was always a pleasure to see your truck in the old KFXD lot. Good luck.

Mitch,
You’re one of the best and your a nice guy while your at it. We could all take a lesson from you..well except for Robin and Dave and Doug and Jim and Stan and…oh hell, your all nice guys. Seriously though, Twin Falls isn’t all that bad Mitch and we could use some nice guys down here! Good luck my friend.
