Let me be the first to tell you every thing that is said about Impact on this site is the truth. I learned this first hand! Come work for us and we will give you what you want was filled with lies!!! I tried to give Impact the benefit of the doubt but they just proved me wrong and every one else right.

I was talking to a lawyer, last night in New York. When I asked him what his specialty was, he said “winning”. The point of the comment is simple: If you are going to play the game, play to win. Right now, it appears that Impact is going through the motions, but is not really focusing on what it takes to win in this market. If I were to analyze the problem I would say there are too many egos and not enough focused planning. I still maintain that the stations are run as hobbies, not as competitive broadcast entities. Many of the formats are weak and don’t add that much value to this market. Better planning and a real commitment to success will make them really competitive, but I don’t see that happening any time soon.

Impact is doing a great job at recruiting their personal to run their stations, taking the best of the best from their competitors is a clear picture on how serious they are at becoming a force to recon with this 2008. People will forget that Dave even existed at Impact. Here is the fact of the matter. If the salary and comission is that good, why not change employers? Impact is loking to become number One. they have that mentality. Thumbs up Impact.

Yeah, I’m sure there are lots of people out there with backgrounds in media sales and at least two years experience who want to start with the Yellow Pages as their “list,” submit daily call sheets and prospect lists and starve to death for the first 18 months (if they last that long).

Wouldn’t people with those listed qualifications already be working for more stable organizations and have established themselves in the biz?

Given what’s happened since Dave’s Downfall, It’s going to take Impact a long time to establish the credibility needed to attract qualified applicants on both the sales and talent sides.
