All in all, it was a great clip, but what I liked most was Mellisa mentioning "Dope Nose" by Weezer as a brand new song. The sad thing is, that song probably hasn't been played on The X since then. Now I have to go search my CD's for Maladroit.

That shows a true sign of a real broadcaster: someone willing to go beyond the airshift to do the needed work to stay on the air. How many of us have kept the station on the air with bailing twine and bubble gum? It's what separates the men from the boys.

Don't forget about Byl's contributions inthe early days of KQXR as Pirate Radio, before it became "The X." He was one of the individuals that helped put that station on the air. If you go to KQXR's Freezout Hill transmitter site, you will see Byl's name in the concrete where the old tower used to stand. He helped haul and hook up most of the equipment used at that site. I also hear that he also gave some of his amateur tower climbing skills a go, as well. What's OSHA, again?

Byl helped shape what that station was back then, and he did the same a few years later when he came back to KQXR after it had become the X. Byl and Doug delivered a morning show unlike any that could be heard on any station in any market. There was nothing cookie cutter about their awkward dioloque and goofy skits. You never quite knew what to expect.

Remember Rob Buttery's contributions to the Byl and Doug show? Even Dan, the operations manager, and Rick, the chief engineer were sometimes in on the fun.

That was a sacred time in Boise radio history that should never be forgotten.

That was really really entertaining... We should have a station like that in the TV.

I believe all we've got here are some jocks who yell and bitch into a Buckcherry song...

Nice to hear some more from Byl. He is an underutilized talent who has a great amount of talent. Too bad he is reduced to doing traffic in morning drive.

Jacent's programming talent mixed with Kallao's imaging talent and all the air talent, what a great combination.
