KIDO to celebrate 80 years

KIDO celebrates 80 years on the Treasure Valley airwaves on November 11th. A YouTuber (and Peak employee) put together a tribute video with images and audio that haven’t ‘t seen the light of day in a long time…

    This is really neat. I only wish there was some dates etc on the jingles….when were they produced or used….that would be kind of nice to know…. Hope the creator of this will continue to do more tributes of this type!

    Hi, I just stumbled onto this… I made the video and have worked for 580 KIDO for 3 years. To my knowledge the jingles are from the 1950’s or early ’60s. I got all the old logos and jingles from the History of Idaho Broadcasting Pres. Art G.

    I love KIDO, I have grown up in the KIDO-AM studios since I was 6 years old. I have known a lot of my fellow employees since then as well. I made the video because I think there is such a great history in the Boise Radio Market, that it would be tragic for younger generations to now know about it.

    I made a more current promo video for 580 KIDO and “AM 63 KIDO”
