Yeah, it would appear Nickelback and Staind, etc. seem to be gone. Hopefully 38 special and Journey will follow. With virtually nothing on the playllist newer than 1996, shouldn’t they change the positioning statement back to “classic rock that rocks?”

KJOT seems to be making a bit of a move to real classic rock, which would differentiate it from KKGL and KQXR. I’ve listened over the past week and they are playing a lot more of the tunes from the 60’s and 70’s. Anyone else noticed this?

I’ve noticed FM talk is catching on a little in larger markets like Seattle, where Bonneville is experimenting with simulcasting KIRO AM. But audience perception for FM still appears to be that music is the best format.

I said it at the start and I will continue to say it…. Why is there no competition to BOB FM….. Just think of the potential… a station with a similar playlist with a REAL personality and PEOPLE on air…Promotions…YES it would take work to tweak it but it would work…..But hey this is Boise….and I guess no one wants to “think outside the cage…”
