Comments on: Jon and Chris out at Peak

Anyone heard if Jon and Chris will surface somewhere? I really miss their voices in the morning. Even where there was bad news they seemed to be able to talk about without being depressing…if every there was a time we need Jon and Chris it is now.

I didn’t say things weren’t terrible, I just said it wasn’t the government that made the announcement. Elchupacabras.. I don’t recoginize that name on the radio as an informer of information? Jerr is a name that had been on the radio however ;-) and my family has been in radio for about 20 years.

I know people that lost their job this week in radio, and I pray for them, Jon and Chris, myself, and Elchupacabras that we all will get through these terrible times.

Job well done Jon and Chris, It just goes to show you how AM radio is going down the tubes by letting you both go. I like sports but I don’t like all these sports talk shows being shoved down our throats day in and day out. There are more important issues in our world to be talked over. As far as I’m concerned I’m one less listener to KIDO/KFXD. I’m gone!

I am at a loss when I am in the car now. Jon & Chris are missing.
They were a refreshing upbeat team that I enjoyed listening to. I just flip around the radio now trying to find something good to listen to and not finding it.

I hope somehow that we get this great team back.

What in the living he– are you talking about? You, Dave Ramsey and a few ultra-right Bushbots seem to think everything is o.k.? Have you not seen the 4 percent holdbacks in Idaho? Have you not seen the 4 consecutive quarters of job loss? What about the plummet at the AMEX and NASDAQ.

I would hope you don’t work in our industry, as we should be the ones informing the public, not living under the dark side of a rock, filled with moss and humus.

As for Jon and Chris, what a shame! I can’t help believe they pulled in a greater share than they were actually attributed to. The confusion of KIDO/KFXD is surely to blame.

The NBER is not the government. It is just some people that don’t define a recession properly.

“On December 1, 2008, the NBER published reports stating that the US Economy has been in recession since December 2007. However it should be noted that the NBER does not use the traditional method of defining a recession. Traditionally a recession is defined as two consecutive quarters of negative growth of the GDP. Using this guideline as a rule of thumb, if the fourth quarter of 2008 shows negative growth in the GDP, then a recession can be claimed using this traditional rule.”

I had a hard time following Jon and Chris from early morning but being a fan of local and national problems I adjusted to their am-pm show. Now without warning KIDO is shutting them down. the new program is nothing this woman wants to listen to. Talk radio is going down the tube.

I enjoy listening to our local talk show hosts . Chris and Jon
being my favorites. I just finished a radio survey (Atbitron),
the 10-2pm time slot was always filled in, because of Jon and
Chris. The Fox Sports show is not anything I choose to listen to.
Nor the ranting of Rush .

I’m confused. Are you blaming the networks for the recession?

By the way, yesterday (Monday), the government officially announced that the U.S. has been in a recession since last December. Kind of screws up that Rush/Hannity talking point about “Obama’s recession,” huh?
