Dennis to KFXD?

Don Day | December 2, 2008

Looks like we know a little bit more about what Peak is doing with the Jon & Chris timeslot – which is being filled by Fox Sports for now:

The big question still remains what KIDO/580 plans to do with the 10am-1pm slot… Peak said in a news release on October 7th that Rush’s slot would be filled with something live and local…

In its place, beginning January 1st, 2009, 580 KIDO will debut a new LIVE and LOCAL radio show aimed directly at residents of Idaho and the growing Treasure Valley.

Ralph Smith is going to be back in Boise Radio starting in January on the weekends on 630. It would be interesting if they put him on the 10:00 to 1:00 slot on week days. We will see. I will talk to you later.

I’d love to see Dennis MIller stay in the market. I’ve never been a fan of the comedians trying to “play” radio and most of the time it is never successful. Dennis is the exception for good reason… he doesn’t try to make everything a one-liners or rim-shot.

There is however, the 1:00 to 2:00 slot they still need to fill. Unless they are carying The Schnitt show live that hour.
