For years I listened to the Electric Lunch, never dreaming I would get to work with Melissa Dawn for over a decade. How many times have we heard that employees should prove themselves, and that good performance, loyalty and positive attitude will be rewarded? Here you have a fine example of a model employee...positive attitude...happy to do any job requested...blessed with natural talent whether on air, promotions or production...and loyal to the end.

Unfortunately, because she can't say no, some took advantage of her good nature. After proving herself time and again as a team player, I've seen Melissa let go...and then brought back carrying no grudge.

And talk about entertainment value! "Aww shooooooot...let's have a hot dish or a pan of bars soon! I heard Ginger Breadman tripped over the rug at the Sunday service and knocked over the basin of holy water. My oh my, you shoulda heard what she said too...kinda ironic really when you think about it!"

My friend, I've missed working with you somethin' fierce since you left us. I truly hope you find a place that deserves you.

Melissa Dawn grew up in the radio business, her father an owner of some small market stations in her hometown. That the radio business cannot make a safe, secure and rewarding place for someone with MD's talents is yet another sad commentary on what this buisness has become. Miss Dawn... I wish you all the very best. Your talents and skill far surpass Boise.

Dawn,

Hopefully you get the chance to read this. You are great. Thank you for everything you did for KBOI and me. I hope the future holds nothing but wonderful things for you.

Above all, I'll miss the "Fargo" accent around the office!
